Printing that holds a memory.
We print photographs — the ones on your phone and the ones in the shoebox — and we make memorial and obituary keepsakes for families, with the quiet care that job deserves. Both are made to order, by hand, at the same bench where everything else here is made.
Photo printing
Prints and enlargements, from any photo you have.
A photograph you can hold behaves differently than one on a screen. Send us the file, or bring in the print itself and we’ll make a clean copy — that is how a lot of our work starts, with somebody’s only picture of a grandparent.
We can correct the basics for you: a crop that fits the frame, a photo that came out too dark, an old print with a crease across it. If a picture cannot be rescued, we will tell you honestly rather than charge you for something we cannot do well.
Standard sizes
4×6, 5×7, 8×10 — printed on quality photo paper.
Enlargements
Bigger prints for framing, a wall or a memorial table.
Batches
A copy for each person who wants one.
Old prints
Bring the only copy you have; we will duplicate it.

Prints made in the shop, trimmed and checked by hand before they reach you.
Memorial & obituary printing
For a family, in the week they need it most.
We print memorial and obituary keepsakes — folded cards, service programs, bookmarks — for families in and around Chicago. You bring the photograph, the dates and the words you would like; we set them cleanly and print them on paper that feels right to hand to somebody.
There is no counter to stand at and explain yourself twice. One person, Jeannette, handles the whole job from your first message to the box you pick up, and we can work to a service date when the date is close.
A keepsake card
Folded card with a photo on the front and the words inside.
Service programs
A printed program for the service itself, quantities from a dozen to several hundred.
Bookmarks & extras
Small keepsakes for the family to hand out afterward.

Keepsakes are printed and folded in the studio, and can be collected in person or shipped directly to the funeral home or family.
How it works
Three steps, and we do the fiddly parts.
- 1
Send us what you have
A phone photo, a scan, the original print, or a rough set of words. Use the form below or call and talk it through — whichever is easier this week.
- 2
We send a proof
You see exactly how it will look — the layout, the photograph, the spelling of every name — before anything is printed. Nothing goes to press until you say yes.
- 3
Collect or ship
Pick the finished printing up in Chicago, or we ship it. For a memorial we can send it straight to the funeral home or to the family.
Request printing
Tell us what you need printed.
A couple of lines is plenty — what it is, roughly how many, and when you need it. Attach a photo or a document if you have one; if you don’t, send it later or bring it in.
Or call and speak to Jeannette directly: (773) 691-0730.
Time-sensitive?
If a service date is close, say so in the form or call us. We will tell you straight away whether we can make the date, rather than taking the job and disappointing you.
Ordering something else?
Shirts, hats, mugs, glasses, plates, candles and stickers all live in the shop, and bulk runs have their own form.
